My Review
This is a story about various visits that Magnus and his fellow warlock friends made to Peru and how Magnus came to be banded for life. Magnus and his companions embark an a few adventures and cause a little havoc along the way.
When I first found out that Magnus Bane was getting his own series of short stories I was super excited. I love Magnus Bane and he was definitely a highlight for me in both the Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices series. In this story I got to see a side of him that I never saw before and the relationship that he has with his friends. There was a glimpse of the familiar warlocks personality when he decides he must become a charanguista and learn to proficiently play the charango.
I liked the humor in the story and the tiny glimpse of Magnus' childhood. The ending however left me feeling unsatisfied.
I give this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

Heh, I have yet to read the Mortal Instruments OR the Infernal Devices, however I've heard allot about them! (My friend keeps bugging me to read them)
ReplyDeleteYou should for sure :) if I could start them over again for the first time I would have read TID before TMI so that it would be easier to connect the 2 series.
