Why I loved it
Around 7 years ago I went through an extreme Anne Rice faze and read the mass majority of all her books. I started my vampire obsession years before everyone else and these are the books that I base how a vampire should be.
I LOVED the Vampire Chronicle books, especially Lastat, and The Queen of the Damned was one of my favorites. The movie was absolutely horrible but the book was awesome. This book is when Akasha, mother of all vampires finally awakens and she wants Lastat by her side. A few different characters from the series make appearances in an attempt to pry Lastat from the queens clutches.
I enjoyed the depth of the story which I had been following throughout the whole Vampire Chronicles. I definitely gobbled this book up and asked for more and I give it a 4 out of 5 stars.
