My Review

 Tobias' journey to become the Four that we all know and love has been a difficult one. Repressed under the watchful eye of his abusive father, Tobias needs to find a way to escape him. The Choosing Ceremony could change his life forever if he can find the courage to switch from Abnegation into a new fraction, and finally be free of his father.

 If you are going through a Divergent withdrawal this is a book for you. It was amazing. I've always seen Four/Tobias as a very strong and confident person. After reading this novella a now love his character even more.

 The life Tobias lived was very sad. Marcus Eaton is a very controlling man, he thinks that physically harming his son is for his own good. Tobias wasn't even permitted to mention the one thing from his life that made him happy, his deceased mother.

 I really enjoyed getting to see this past side of Tobias, it helped to understand him better. He saw an opportunity to finally be free of his father and he did it, gracefully. Changing his fraction was something that took guts, especially for individuals from Abnegation, the most loyal of fractions. For Tobias, the chance to be in control of himself helped him decide what was right for him.

I give The Transfer a 4 ½ out of 5 stars.
